Wrangling Content using Blender3D

  • Download Blender3D [1].
  • Download mesh and skeleton exporter [2] and place the script in \Blender Foundation\Blender\.blender\scripts
  • Build content 1 unit = 1 meter.
  • Apply materials and name them base on these material names, since Blender3D supports only 21 letters.

this list can/will grow and will be moved to another place.

  • User may want to apply the texture in the Face (F-key) to appropriate components.
  • UV your content and apply textures. [3] Users are welcome to use existing textures or generate a custom texture.
  • Build asset so that bottom goes below the Z axis.
  • Before exporting hit Ctr-A to freeze transformations.
  • Export the asset to a temporary directory.
